FESTIVALS:
Meet us in Eugene, Oregon to revel in the glory of Bach's St. Matthew Passion as performed by the choir and orchestra of the Oregon Bach Festival under the direction of Helmut Rilling. As you might recall it was a performance of this piece as directed by the 19 year-old Mendelssohn that started the 19th-century revival of Bach's music.
RECORDINGS:
JEANNINE"S BACH RECORDING
You can hear some of the greatest organ music of JS Bach and his sons performed on historic instruments from Bach's Germany on the CD, THE MUSIC OF BACH AND SONS.

BOOKS:
Need to entertain your kids or grandchildren this summer? Order The Bach Book: A Coloring Book/Comic Book on the Life of Johann Sebastian Bach from Pro-Motion Music. Kids (and adults) love getting to know the Bach family in this witty, engaging book. To order contact Jeannine at jeannine@bachandsons.org.
Another of my favorite Bach books is
Johann Sebastian Bach: His Life in pictures and Documents (with CD) by Hans Conrad Fischer. It is a Bach book that is "for everyone."
And the ultimate Bach read is Christoph Wolff's Johann Sebastian Bach: The Learned Musician. Author Christoph Wolff presents a picture that brings to life this towering figure of the Baroque era. This book is even available in a Kindle edition.
